Meeting on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
An interesting and interactive meeting was held with students at the Batumi Medical Academy on the occasion of the Day of Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness and once again focus on the needs and challenges that persons with disabilities face in their daily lives. The meeting was led by the Academy's lawyer Megi Bakuridze and the Inclusive Education Specialist Mzia Meladze.
The lawyer provided the students with information about the legislation that regulates the rights of persons with disabilities in Georgia. The students focused on the selection of forms and methods of communication with persons with disabilities in relevant professional areas. We can change the future, with the necessary support and creating an environment. Correct information is the first step towards breaking stigmas and an inclusive society!
